Dissertation in Chemistry (PhD)
Title: "An EQCM for investigations on conducting polymers"
- Design and construction of a quartz crystal micro-balance.
The software was written by myself in C. The instrument was able to put
an electrical signal (e.g. DC voltage ramp up and down) and measure up to
100 measurements per second (simultaneously of mass changes down to a few
nano-grams and current signals of an electrochemical electrode on a piezo-crystal
in an electrolyte)
- Investigations of ion-exchange properties in polypyrrole
and the metal deposition processes during electrochemical deposition and
dissolution

Master Thesis (Diplomarbeit)
in physical chemistry /electrochemistry
Title: "Cyclo-voltammetric investigations on the Al (Pt)- electrode in
melts of Al-organic complex salts"
The main subject was the investigation of complex reaction mechanism
during the electrochemical deposition and dissolution of Al out of metal
organic electrolytes.
